L3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision




The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision qualification has been developed for delivery in a working environment. It has been designed to develop and recognise your skills, knowledge and competence on a construction site so that you can work as a Supervisor within the construction industry.


This qualification is aimed at individuals with responsibility for supervising work activities in the construction environment. The Level 3 qualification is suitable for experienced construction workers who have been assigned the responsibility of supervising operations on site and activities such as identifying work methods and resources required to complete tasks safely and organising and coordinating work.


Entry Requirements


The L3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision is a knowledge-based qualification which is primarily aimed at candidates who are working in a technical, supervisory and management roles in construction and seeking to develop their skills and knowledge.


Course Duration and Assessment


The minimum length of the assessments from the candidate’s registration to the actual achievement of the NVQ is between a minimum 3 months and the maximum of 9 months depending on how soon the candidate can gather the relevant evidence upon how many visits the assessor requires.


Programme


The learner will learn key practical skills and knowledge 5 mandatory units and at least 2 optional units. These are:


             •  Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace

             •  Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace

             •  Confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace

             •  Implementing and Maintaining Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace

             •  Co-ordinating and Organising Work Operations in the Workplace

             •  Allocating and Monitoring the Use of Plant, Machinery or Equipment in the Workplace

             •  Monitoring Progress of Work Against Schedules in the Workplace

             •  Confirming Work Meets Quality Standards in the Workplace

             •  Implementing Procedures to Support the Team's Performance in the Workplace

             •  Co-ordinating and Confirming Dimensional Control Requirements of the Work in the Workplace

             •  Contributing to the Circulation of Construction Related Project Information in the Workplace


This qualification and the units which form it have been designed to sit within the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) which is regulated by Ofqual.


Location


This course will be delivered at our training facility of G&C Training Centre Ltd. based in Chessington, Surrey within the London Borough of Kingston Upon Thames.
